Do you get paid for publishing a research paper?

Academics are not paid for their article contributions to journals. They often have to pay fees to submit the articles to journals and to publish. Peer reviewers, the supervisors, are responsible for ensuring the research work published in the journal is up to the quality standards, typically are not paid either. But there are two ways to get paid for your publication; the first way is indirect, which is to be done by increasing the visibility for your published research paper because it increases the chance of being recruited in the higher quality institute with greater payment. The second way is direct that includes the researchers are being paid to perform the research and publish the research paper in the specified journal.
